Ground Chicken Tacos with Mock Lettuce Tortillas

Baked Salmon and Orange with Lemon Juice
Cabbage Rolls with Ground Beef
I am watching one of my favorite movies of all time! Country Song. Singing along and I decided to write my entry right now. So far my weight loss has been a little over 1lb every day! I am 11.4lbs down from when I started 10 days ago. That is the most weight I have lost in such a short period of time. I have not been happier and I find myself smiling more. I can tell when I walk that my thighs are slimming down, which is great for me because that is one of the areas I hate the most! On Monday I started my exercising routine, I am doing a little boxing for cardio, then I use my 5lb weights and do lunges. I am so sore, but today I will continue. I weighed in today at 200.3lbs =) tmrw I will definitely be under 200! How exciting. I am also happy that my sister starts the diet tmrw, she will lose what she wants which is about 15-20lbs and be extremely happy! I have also noticed I look forward to drinking my protein everyday, because its chocolate and I have been craving a piece so badly! Yesterday I made a lunch that is not worth discussing! I screwed up a recipe and it tasted awful, for dinner I had Salmon baked with orange and lemon juice. It was alright tasting. Now, today I had two spectacular meals! Ground Chicken tacos with lettuce as a mock tortilla and pico de gallo on top , for dinner I had Cabbage rolls with ground beef that were so delicious! I chose to make tacos for my lunch because yesterday my family ate taco bell! I wanted to eat it so badly, but my will power prevailed! I honestly have never felt better about myself.

Salmon on a bed of Spinach
Beef Veggy Soup
Shrimp Scampi On a bed of Spinach
Beef Chunk Chili
Friday night was so much fun! Kevin Hart is too hilarious and I enjoyed myself. That was the highlight of my day. This night had been planned for over a month, and it was to be my anniversary date. My boyfriend and I chose to celebrate it on this day. Well, after the show we went to dinner, and I cheated =/ it was a lapse in judgment! So not worth it. In the morning when I weighed myself I was up 2lbs. That was a depressing sight! If I had not cheated I would probably have been down 2lbs. Anyway, I had a beef veggy soup for lunch and shrimp scampi for dinner. Saturday went by slowly, and I chose to eat soup again because I had not been feeling well. My stomach felt over full all day! I still did the HCG and protein shakes in order as usual though. I took my son out to see The Lorax, and while he sat and ate popcorn and nachos with a Slurpee, I sat and did not cheat! I was so proud of myself when I left the theater. We stopped at a friends birthday party and I still did not cheat despite the fact there was steak, cupcakes, and all other foods! The next morning I stepped on the scale and was up .2lbs. I knew this would happen because reading about cheating clearly said what the effects would be. I will never cheat again! Sunday I did my usual routine and I ate Salmon on a bed of spinach for lunch and beef chili with celery for dinner. I loved the chili so much I will probably eat that again tonight! I had a pounding headache last night so I went to bed early. I should have been up studying but it was too much with that pain. This morning I weighed myself and........I am back on track! down 2.2lbs. I measured myself also and I have lost a total of 13" from my body in just one week. I have been floating on a cloud all day today! Feeling so good, and happy. I could not believe the results of my measurements I re did them twice! I am definitely feeling that spurt of energy I read would come. After 7 days on the diet you can start incorporating slight exercise, so I will begin walking for about 30 min to an hour. Hopefully the weight will continue to fall. I have to begin studying so this will be all for today. Thank you for reading!

03/16/2012

I did not have time to write yesterday afternoon to discuss my meals from the night before! My day consisted of studying, studying and more studying. My brain cannot retain anymore information it literally feels over stuffed! Anyway, I did my normal routine of HCG, protein shakes, lunch, and dinner. I ate Caramelized Onion Shrimp, which I probably will not eat again. It was not my favorite. The recipe will be posted in a little while, if you love onions and shrimp this is the recipe for you. Dinner that day I chose to make a Mongolian Beef  recipe that called for cabbage, since I did not have cabbage I used kale instead, and it was great! I loved it. That morning I stepped on the scale and I weighed 205.5 lbs I lost 1.5lbs! So far that is about 6lbs! I only started on the 13th which was this monday. It is incredible how the weight is really just melting away. I have not noticed it yet, I just notice the numbers on the scale dropping every morning. This day was easier for me though, I did not have as much cravings I only wanted a nice juicy burger with fries! YUMMY. I did some looking at my recipes and realized I can have a burger with lettuce to wrap it! I will be looking forward to making that recipe. Yesterday morning I was not feeling to well so I chose to eat the Savory Chicken Soup again. That recipe is so good I could it again! For dinner I made a Buffalo Style Chicken on a bed of spinach. It was refreshing to shock my taste bugs with the spice. However, the recipe called for 4 tblsp. of Lemon juice and it was too tangy for me. Today I have already made my meal plan, and am relaxing. I will be making a Veggy Beef Soup for lunch, and Shrimp Scampi for dinner. This should be two tasty meals! How am I feeling over all? Well, more tired, and my head has a light ache. Other than that I feel fine. Tonight will be a tough one because I am going to see Kevin Hart Live in Seattle! I have been looking forward to this for over a month! I am bummed I will not be able to chow down afterwards at a good restaurant. I have taken the time to consider my options, I wont be eating out today, but in the future when I do I will know what to order. Let me share with you my ideas:
-The diet only allows 4 oz. of protein, meaning fish, shrimp, beef, and chicken.
-No oil of any kind is allowed besides MCT oil, and only one veggy at a time is acceptable (no mixed salads).
-When you are ordering ask specifically that they do not use any oil to make your protein, or any marinades.
-Order 4 oz. of any protein you want (that is acceptable) with a side order of lettuce.
-When you are brought your meal you can turn it into a salad or even a wrap!
-Of course order a water with lemon, or a unsweetened ice tea (bring your stevia along to sweeten) and sweeten the tea with your stevia. Now you can eat out with your friends and family and have piece of mind that you stayed within the protocol!

Buffalo Style Chicken

Caramelized Onion with Shrimp

This diet is hard to stick too, but once you see that you are dropping weight everday it makes it ten times easier! I cannot wait to get up in the morning and weigh myself. This morning I stepped on the scale and I weighed 202.2 I lost 3.3lbs more. I am that much closer to being below the 200 mark! I still cant see the difference, which makes it that much harder to believe. I guess I wont be noticing the weight loss until I hit the -20lb mark. I have to measure myself on Monday which is going to be my 7th day on the diet, I imagine i've lost inches. It is all so exciting! I want to look stunning on my 25th birthday. This time I actually feel my goal is going to happen. I feel so much better about myself, all that I want to do is smile! In total since Monday I have lost approx. 10lbs, that is in 4 1/2 days! This diet is incredible, I am so happy that I decided to do this. I am shedding the fat me to become a more BEAUTIFUL and SEXY me!

Savory Chicken Soup w/ celery

Orange glazed ginger chicken w/spinach

To start off I am drinking my second protein shake of the day, and imagining a nice big steak with mash potatoes! Even though my stomach is not growling and I seem to be content. I have already had two cups of tea this morning (you can drink as much tea throughout the morning as you like w/ no sugar! you can use stevia sweetner which is an organic sweetner) while I have been studying for my up coming exams, and worrying about how I am going to get my essay's edited. Yesterday for lunch I had a delicious savory chicken soup with celery, and for dinner I had orange glazed ginger chicken with spinach! I absolutely love love love spinach and was happy to see that it was a veggy I could choose from. These recipes are so easy to do and most of the spices I already owned anyway. They taste really good as well. Now that I think of it I had to make myself eat lunch yesterday because I was not hungry at all! I looked up from the computer around 12 and noticed I had passed my scheduled lunch time. On my way home lastnight I drove past 4 different fast food places and each and everyone I wanted to stop in and buy something to eat! I almost talked myself into thinking it was ok to buy subway. This is around 730-800 pm, on the diet you are not suppose to eat anything after 6. So that was a no go, pretty proud of myself for being able to over come my stomach talking to me! And boy does she talk to me! When I got home I weighed out my beef and shrimp protein, did my HCG drops then took my last shake before studying some more. I had a slight headache last night while laying in bed could not sleep so I planned out my meals for today. I will say that I was very excited to wake up and weigh myself in the morning. This morning I stepped on the scale and I am at 207.00 lbs. I lost 1.1 lbs since yesterday, in total I've lost 4.1 pounds in three days! If that isnt going to make anyone wanting to lose weight dance around in happiness, I dont know what is! I am wondering if the chicken broth I used yesterday for my lunch is the reason why I only dropped 1.1 lbs. It was fat free but had over 550mg of salt in one serving! I made the mistake of not diluting it with water while it was cooking. I did not realize that was to much salt until after I was finished and looked at the label. Now dont get me wrong! I think 1.1 lbs is great in one day, it was just me wondering out loud and writing it down. I will be posting the recipes for the meals I make, and showing pictures as well!

03/13/2012

To begin with I wanted to share how and why I decided to begin using HCG. I was not always a choompy (this is what me and my sister call "thick") girl. I began to gain weight around my Junior year of high school. I just kept packing on the weight without realizing just how much I was gaining! By the time I realized that it had to stop it was almost like it was too late. I did the exercising and dieting before, and I did have results, it just never lasted. So I would give up, not even intentionally it would just happen. I have stopped and thought, "Geez! If I would have continued with that diet and exercise I could be ten times smaller right now." It is depressing to think about and I have suffered with the feelings of disgust about myself. I cant even try on clothing at stores because if I do and it doesn't look right I feel sad. I know I know, you can do something about it! Well I had been researching the HCG diet for a couple of months and saw all these great before and after pics. It was a glimmer of hope that I needed. However, I never talked myself into doing it afraid it would be a waste of money and time. What if it was all a lie? A friend on Facebook started posting about her success on the diet and I watched her statuses for about a week before one night when I could not sleep I messaged her. I asked her to please give me information that I could use to begin she so kindly did! The very next day I ordered all that I needed online. I even reached out to my cousin who I know also wants to lose weight and she decided to do it while I do. I have never admitted to anyone my real weight after I spoke to my sister and cousin I felt so good about admitting how much I really weighed. I am about 5'5" and according to my Dr. I should be weighing between 120-150 above that you are overweight, below your underweight. Above 180 and you are considered obese! This is where I fall weighing in at 211.7 lbs =(. My ideal weight would be 135lbs. If you would like to see where you should be I am going to post a link to a website where it will calculate that for you, http://www.healthdiscovery.net/links/calculators/ideal_bw_women.htm. I began my HCG VLCD(very low 500 calorie diet which is only after your two loading days)yesterday, and it was easy in the morning and horrible towards the night! To begin you need to take all of you measurements, your arms, chest, waist, hips, thighs and calf's. You will be shrinking in inches along with fat! (It sounds like your not eating anything at all but you really are! The HCG helps to suppress your appetite, and from what I've read and seen online the first week is the worst. After you can expect a burst of energy!) I knew within myself that I was full and content, but my stomach thought otherwise! I am so use to eating when and what I want that my stomach was upset at me! haha. You take the HCG drops under your tongue when you wake up, wait 15 minutes then drink your protein shake which you add a product called MCT oil to, two hours later you drink one again all the while drinking lots and lots of water. Take your HCG again, make your lunch, two hours after you drink another shake and then your dinner! which you need to weigh out your protein so that you do not go over. Before bed take your HCG and drink your last shake. It is time consuming to remember the routine but it is going to be so worth it! This morning I stepped on my scale (because you need to weigh yourself every morning and record that weight) and was surprised to see that my weight was now 208.1! that is -3 lbs lighter!! That gave me all the motivation I needed to get through today. I want to thank my sister for giving me the idea to start a blog! This might have been a boring first post to some but was fun to write! Thank you. Feel free to ask any questions you may have! Oh, by the way the picture above is the first lunch meal that I made. It is Cajun blackened salmon (about 3.5 oz of my protein) with spinach!
